Brighid Grahan

Brighid Grahan is an oil painting artist rooted in the Pacific Northwest. Her work is inspired by our local landscapes of mountains, forests, islands, and ever changing skies. Painting on wood panels and canvas, she chooses colors that create energetic tension. Each painting includes handmade paint created with dry pigments mixed with linseed or walnut oil. This technique encourages unexpected color variations while grounding her in the old tradition of oil painters. Brighid studied art at Seattle University where she earned a degree in Visual Arts. She currently lives in Port Townsend with her daughter and their Australian Shepherd dog. ⁠
